I did the advanced Padi course in Kiwidivers and was absolutely a really good experience, I really enjoyed my dives with them and also the boat that they booked for the divings was great with all kind of comfort. Charles the instructor is also a really good and professional person and took a lot of incredible pictures in all the dives. Really recommended place

Super chuffed to now be SSI open water certified! Thanks Charles. Charles is very experienced, very knowledgeable of the dive sites across Phuket , an ex serviceman from the UK he has dived all over the world and been an instructor since 2000. With tips about where to go in middle America and California, he even found a missing WW2 plane in Loch Ness and offered closure to the families of the fatal accident decades after the fact. Very generous with his knowledge, and I was lucky enough to have him as my personal instructor when others wouldn’t have bothered with only one student. It’s the off season in phuket so many other instructors would wait until they could book multiple students on their dives. Now SSI open water certified, very confident, and having swum with leopard sharks, turtles, lion fish, and sighted many fish and corals I need to avoid to stay safe , I gotta say I can’t fault the training, detail, and knowledge I have is all down to the thorough and fun training of one very clever and talented Scottish fella. Completely unsteriotypically generous. (Sorry Charles had to remind you of the stingy Jock joke). Oh and special thanks to the boat crew , great food, friendly assistants, and awesome dive sites.

  • I booked a day trip with Kiwidiver in Jan 2018 and had an awesome day. Other than the main street dive centres, Kiwidiver uses higher end equipment, as they are specialised in Technical diving. So for all courses and day trips they use Frog BCDs and APEKS regulators, which are owned by and serviced at the dive shop (and not rented). I booked 3 fun dives at Racha Noi and Racha Yai. Meeting point is the Kiwidiver shop, where you'll be fitted in your scuba gear and from there transferred to the peer, which is a mere 5min drive from the dive center. The dive boat was large and did not feel crowded. There is breakfast, lunch, snacks, water, tea and coffee provided. Dive time is 50min at each site, so make sure you've set up your equipment and are ready to jump. Your instructor will tell you the boat time before starting the briefing. Between dives you can stretch out on the sun decks and enjoy the cruise. Don't forget to take your own towel, sun lotion, sun glasses and maybe a book if you're travelling solo. Also some cash, so you can leave a tip for the boat crew!

We greatly enjoyed our 3 tank dive to Phi Phi islands & Shark Point with Charles of Kiwi Divers. Communication prior to the dive was excellent and very helpful, working quite flexibly with us, organised going with another boat to fit with our schedule and desired dive sites. Where the boats typically have a few dozen divers, my wife and I essentially had a private instructor in Charles which was great. Safety was top priority and Charles made sure everything worked correctly and ran us through our equipment. His knowledge and experience, not only in Phuket dive sites but elsewhere, led us on some amazing dives, often going to alternate points of interest to avoid crowds and still seeing amazing sights. We highly recommend going with Kiwi Divers Phuket, we hope to be back again.

What to expect when diving in Phuket

Unleash the Adventure: Explore Phuket’s Underwater Wonderland

Dive into the heart of the Andaman Sea and discover why Phuket is a diver’s paradise. At Kiwidivers, we specialize in crafting unforgettable scuba diving experiences that bring you face-to-face with the ocean’s most stunning wildlife. Whether you’re a seasoned diver or just starting, our fun dives are designed to thrill, inspire, and connect you with the natural world.

Why Choose Phuket for Scuba Diving?

Phuket’s waters are teeming with life, offering divers the chance to see dozens of species in a single dive—far more than you’d typically encounter on land-based wildlife tours. From vibrant coral gardens to majestic underwater rock formations, every dive is a new adventure. Our expert guides will take you to iconic sites like:

  • Phi Phi Islands: Known for their crystal-clear waters and thriving marine ecosystems, the Phi Phi Islands are a must-visit. Glide alongside schools of tropical fish, spot graceful sea turtles, and marvel at the kaleidoscope of colors beneath the waves.
  • King Cruiser Wreck: This sunken ferry is now a thriving artificial reef, home to groupers, snappers, and barracudas. Explore its fascinating structure and witness how nature has reclaimed this man-made marvel.
  • Shark Point: Don’t let the name scare you—this site is famous for its leopard sharks, moray eels, and vibrant soft corals. It’s a haven for marine life and a favorite among photographers.

Closer to Nature Than Ever Before

Scuba diving isn’t just a sport; it’s a gateway to a world most people never see. Imagine floating weightlessly as a sea turtle glides past, or watching a school of angelfish dart through the coral. The ocean is alive with activity, and every dive offers a chance to witness something extraordinary. On average, divers in Phuket encounter dozens of species in a single dive—far more than you’d see on a safari or jungle trek. It’s an experience that brings you closer to nature in a way that’s both humbling and exhilarating.
