My brother and I arrived in Phuket and decided on short notice to take an Open Water Course. All dive shops turned us down for short notice, however, Charles at Kiwi Diver made it happen! As we learned to dive, Charles was meticulous with the training, yet he made diving fun and not too technical! As I honed my skills, I became more confident and explored divergent dive sites. If you're in Phuket and thinking about taking a dive, Kiwi Diver is your place. The prices might be a little higher than other dive shops, but the divemaster here has over 9,000 dives under his belt, which translates to a fantastic learning experience.

November 19, 2022Myself and my partner dived for 9 days with Charles and Kiwidivers in the incredible Andaman sea. Charles was a fantastic instructor and guide; he is competent and friendly, we always felt safe and he knew each dive site really well, sometimes taking us to areas where no other divers seemed to be visiting. We saw amazing wildlife while we were diving, and Charles also gave us time at each site to collect footage we wanted for a project. Both of us are certified divers but still felt like we improved massively during the course of the trip. We also completed the drift diver specialty with Kiwidivers, which was completed and signed off quickly. The dive sites themselves are special, and Charles ensured you get a variety if you go to the same island multiple times. Kiwidivers were extremely helpful with other travel tips, transport to the boat, and support when our gear broke/not appropriate for what we wanted to do. Could not recommend Kiwidivers enough, we had an amazing trip and will be coming back.

November 19, 2022We booked three days of diving with Kiwidivers in December, we felt very welcome in their office when trying on the equipment. We embarked the next day on a boat and met our guide, a really nice and professional french divemaster. We had a great day of diving! Unfortunately we ate at the night market in the evening and my girlfriend got sick, we cancelled our next two days of diving. Obviously we couldn't get our money back for the 2nd day as we cancelled last minute but kiwidivers arranged a refund for our third day. Extremely professional, nice and down-to-earth owner, I would definitely come back! Thanks again for the awesome experience!

I paid for my rescue diver certification. Did the training and left. Months after, I realize they never sent in my certification application. All that time and money....wasted.

November 19, 2022Super chuffed to now be SSI open water certified! Thanks Charles. Charles is very experienced, very knowledgeable of the dive sites across Phuket , an ex serviceman from the UK he has dived all over the world and been an instructor since 2000. With tips about where to go in middle America and California, he even found a missing WW2 plane in Loch Ness and offered closure to the families of the fatal accident decades after the fact. Very generous with his knowledge, and I was lucky enough to have him as my personal instructor when others wouldn’t have bothered with only one student. It’s the off season in phuket so many other instructors would wait until they could book multiple students on their dives. Now SSI open water certified, very confident, and having swum with leopard sharks, turtles, lion fish, and sighted many fish and corals I need to avoid to stay safe , I gotta say I can’t fault the training, detail, and knowledge I have is all down to the thorough and fun training of one very clever and talented Scottish fella. Completely unsteriotypically generous. (Sorry Charles had to remind you of the stingy Jock joke). Oh and special thanks to the boat crew , great food, friendly assistants, and awesome dive sites.

October 19, 2024I'd highly recommend Kiwidivers if you're scubadiving around Thailand. Charles was my instructor and was very informative and helpful on getting me through the advanced open water course. He gave me plenty if tips on improving my underwater photography skills too. The kit is all decent for the great conditions in that part of the world. The boats taking us to and from each location catered to our needs with amazing food and plenty of portions, the staff were really friendly and helpful with the kit. The diving itself is phenomenal as we saw up to 20 m visibility in some top locations to spot various sea life from clown fish to sting rays. The water being around 20 degrees Celsius made for comfortable swimming.

Last minute booking was no problem and everything was handled very professionally. The proprietor Charles only takes small or even personal customer groups which was great and it was lots of fun to go diving with him.
