Charles was the best diving teacher and instructor one can wish for. I started my Open Water course really scared and unsure if diving was for me. But Charles was incredibly patient with me, answering all my questions in detail and made me feel safe and confident to try my first ever dive. His calmness and patience helped me stay relaxed. He knows the area really well and what species to look out for at each dive site. He knows how to get away from other divers, finding our own routes which is why we got lucky to see sharks, leopard sharks, cuttle fish, sea horses and turtles. But each dive was special as Charles finds and points out even the smallest shrimp in their holes. I had such a great time I booked another dive the week after finishing my course.

May 19, 2024I'd highly recommend Kiwidivers if you're scubadiving around Thailand. Charles was my instructor and was very informative and helpful on getting me through the advanced open water course. He gave me plenty if tips on improving my underwater photography skills too. The kit is all decent for the great conditions in that part of the world. The boats taking us to and from each location catered to our needs with amazing food and plenty of portions, the staff were really friendly and helpful with the kit. The diving itself is phenomenal as we saw up to 20 m visibility in some top locations to spot various sea life from clown fish to sting rays. The water being around 20 degrees Celsius made for comfortable swimming.

Sally and I did a 3 day dive with Charles (9 dives all together) on Jan 2023. We dove 1:2 with Charles for two full days. On the third day anther diver joined us, but it still felt quite personal. Charles is very knowledgable (over 8000 dives!). He guided us well above and underwater, and offered invaluable technical advice on equalization, buoyancy, leg work and kicking, etc. On our first day he suggested that I use larger air-tanks, and provided me with 15 lbs tanks for days 2 & 3, which extend our dives to 50min+. The boat we used (SiroloDive) was well equipped, had great staff, and served great meals We were told by other divers that it is considered the best boat around. Charles is also a wonderful underwater photographers. The photos he sent us after the dive are wonderful momentos from our 3 fun underwater days in Phuket.

Had a great time with Kiwi Divers!! Summary of my trip with the wife: 1) Charles (boss) know his way around the community, and he got us his favorite big boat, really nice big boat with all the facilities for diving 2) definitely an experience dive master with knowledge of the area, he knows where all the fishes, and we saw the leopard shark ( big one) at shark point dive site 3) gears were good in good condition, pick up was also arrange for us All in all, a very lovely trip, had a great time with the wife. Note to self, bring more cash, many places does not accept card or eWallet Also, the diving community definitely needs support after the Covid era, please do come and support Regards, Matthew

February 19, 2024My brother and I arrived in Phuket and decided on short notice to take an Open Water Course. All dive shops turned us down for short notice, however, Charles at Kiwi Diver made it happen! As we learned to dive, Charles was meticulous with the training, yet he made diving fun and not too technical! As I honed my skills, I became more confident and explored divergent dive sites. If you're in Phuket and thinking about taking a dive, Kiwi Diver is your place. The prices might be a little higher than other dive shops, but the divemaster here has over 9,000 dives under his belt, which translates to a fantastic learning experience.

November 19, 2022I did some fun diving, training and booked a liveaboard through Kiwidivers on a recent trip to Phuket and had a great time with them. From prompt responses to emails during the initial enquiry and booking all the way through. I had Vincent as an Instructor/guide for the bulk of m dives out of Phuket. He is a fountain of knowledge on the diving around Phuket having been there so long but he still gets excited and passionate about all the dives and it’s possible to do a whole dive from a day trip boat with Vincent without seeing another diver. I certainly will be back.
