November 19, 2020I have done over 12 PADI certificates with Kiwidiver, Kevin and his staff are number one. These guys don't hand out certifications just because you paid for the course. They make sure you are competent in the skills that they teach you. Your safety is paramount. I have had to redo some parts of the course, and now I am greatfull. Highly recommended

November 19, 2017Myself and my partner dived for 9 days with Charles and Kiwidivers in the incredible Andaman sea. Charles was a fantastic instructor and guide; he is competent and friendly, we always felt safe and he knew each dive site really well, sometimes taking us to areas where no other divers seemed to be visiting. We saw amazing wildlife while we were diving, and Charles also gave us time at each site to collect footage we wanted for a project. Both of us are certified divers but still felt like we improved massively during the course of the trip. We also completed the drift diver specialty with Kiwidivers, which was completed and signed off quickly. The dive sites themselves are special, and Charles ensured you get a variety if you go to the same island multiple times. Kiwidivers were extremely helpful with other travel tips, transport to the boat, and support when our gear broke/not appropriate for what we wanted to do. Could not recommend Kiwidivers enough, we had an amazing trip and will be coming back.

Charles was fantastic. He taught us how to be safe while diving and took us on 6 amazing dives. He was clearly the most knowledgeable dive instructor on the boat and took us to all the great spots. We saw everything we could have wanted including sharks and a seahorse. Highly recommend for his expertise and awesome guidance.

November 19, 2023Super chuffed to now be SSI open water certified! Thanks Charles. Charles is very experienced, very knowledgeable of the dive sites across Phuket , an ex serviceman from the UK he has dived all over the world and been an instructor since 2000. With tips about where to go in middle America and California, he even found a missing WW2 plane in Loch Ness and offered closure to the families of the fatal accident decades after the fact. Very generous with his knowledge, and I was lucky enough to have him as my personal instructor when others wouldn’t have bothered with only one student. It’s the off season in phuket so many other instructors would wait until they could book multiple students on their dives. Now SSI open water certified, very confident, and having swum with leopard sharks, turtles, lion fish, and sighted many fish and corals I need to avoid to stay safe , I gotta say I can’t fault the training, detail, and knowledge I have is all down to the thorough and fun training of one very clever and talented Scottish fella. Completely unsteriotypically generous. (Sorry Charles had to remind you of the stingy Jock joke). Oh and special thanks to the boat crew , great food, friendly assistants, and awesome dive sites.

Couldn’t recommend diving with kiwi divers enough! I spent two days getting my advanced open water certification and couldn’t be happier with my experience. Charles is an absolute professional with a wealth of experience and knowledge on all things diving. I highly recommend Kiwidivers! If I make it back to Phuket I’ll definitely be diving with them again! 🙂

November 19, 2023My brother and I arrived in Phuket and decided on short notice to take an Open Water Course. All dive shops turned us down for short notice, however, Charles at Kiwi Diver made it happen! As we learned to dive, Charles was meticulous with the training, yet he made diving fun and not too technical! As I honed my skills, I became more confident and explored divergent dive sites. If you're in Phuket and thinking about taking a dive, Kiwi Diver is your place. The prices might be a little higher than other dive shops, but the divemaster here has over 9,000 dives under his belt, which translates to a fantastic learning experience.
