I dived with Kiwidivers to get a PADI open diver course. Even though it was a high season in new years holiday, the shop owner was very flexible to arrange training and diving schedule. He was really good at teaching beginner like me. That was a great dive experience thanks to them.

February 19, 2024I just finished my Open Water Diver Course with Charles and Kiwidivers. Charles was absolutely amazing and competent as my instructor. I had a personal 3 day session with him and i felt super safe and this made the entire experience so much more enjoyable. Charles was always extremely patient with me given that this was my first time diving. He made the process super easy and smooth. Would be recommending his center to my friends and family - would love to do my advanced course with him as well.

November 19, 2022Sally and I did a 3 day dive with Charles (9 dives all together) on Jan 2023. We dove 1:2 with Charles for two full days. On the third day anther diver joined us, but it still felt quite personal. Charles is very knowledgable (over 8000 dives!). He guided us well above and underwater, and offered invaluable technical advice on equalization, buoyancy, leg work and kicking, etc. On our first day he suggested that I use larger air-tanks, and provided me with 15 lbs tanks for days 2 & 3, which extend our dives to 50min+. The boat we used (SiroloDive) was well equipped, had great staff, and served great meals We were told by other divers that it is considered the best boat around. Charles is also a wonderful underwater photographers. The photos he sent us after the dive are wonderful momentos from our 3 fun underwater days in Phuket.

Charles was fantastic. He taught us how to be safe while diving and took us on 6 amazing dives. He was clearly the most knowledgeable dive instructor on the boat and took us to all the great spots. We saw everything we could have wanted including sharks and a seahorse. Highly recommend for his expertise and awesome guidance.

It was really great. I did my AOWD course with Charles. I really enjoyed everything. Dive sites were great, brilliant boat and a very, very well experienced instructor and a great person. November 19, 2023Super chuffed to now be SSI open water certified! Thanks Charles. Charles is very experienced, very knowledgeable of the dive sites across Phuket , an ex serviceman from the UK he has dived all over the world and been an instructor since 2000. With tips about where to go in middle America and California, he even found a missing WW2 plane in Loch Ness and offered closure to the families of the fatal accident decades after the fact. Very generous with his knowledge, and I was lucky enough to have him as my personal instructor when others wouldn’t have bothered with only one student. It’s the off season in phuket so many other instructors would wait until they could book multiple students on their dives. Now SSI open water certified, very confident, and having swum with leopard sharks, turtles, lion fish, and sighted many fish and corals I need to avoid to stay safe , I gotta say I can’t fault the training, detail, and knowledge I have is all down to the thorough and fun training of one very clever and talented Scottish fella. Completely unsteriotypically generous. (Sorry Charles had to remind you of the stingy Jock joke). Oh and special thanks to the boat crew , great food, friendly assistants, and awesome dive sites.

October 19, 2024GREAT dive shop and friendly staff! I got certified in California waters and this was the first dive in tropical waters after my open water PADI certification. I highly recommend Ashish who was my buddy to the dive. He was very helpful setting up the gear and checking/rechecking. Ashish was a great teacher/buddy making sure I was comfortable at all times, providing tricks to improve my diving skills whenever needed. He was always in control, knew the dive site very well to show the right places making sure it was a fun dive. I highly recommend him and Kiwidiver for first time divers, fun divers and advanced divers. I am certainly coming back for my advanced certification here.
